A parody of numerous Frankenstein movies, the film was shot in black and white to simulate the old monster movie feeling. The grandson of the famous Dr. Victor Frankenstein is a neurosurgeon who has spent his life living down the legend of his grandfather, even changing the pronunciation of his name.
When he discovers that he has inherited his grandfather's castle, he sets off for Transylvania, and with the help of the hunchback Igor, a pretty lab assistant named Inga and the old housekeeper Frau Blucher, he discovers that perhaps his grandfather wasn't as crazy as he thought.
