A lot of factors go into making a hit series. One of the most important may be the characters. If they mesh and work well together, you're one step closer to the top of the ratings. But when producers have a hit, they don't stop there - naturally, they want another one. They've already got a handful of beloved characters, so what's to stop them from taking one or two for a new show? Sometimes it works, as when The Jeffersons left All in the Family or when Frasier moved on from Cheers. But sometimes it doesn't. 1. AfterMASH - When the last episode of M*A*S*H appeared in 1983, it set a record for most viewers ever of a single series episode (more than one hundred million).

Lynn Redgrave, a vital and popular member of Britain's Redgrave dynasty, died Sunday night. She was 67 and had waged a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Speaking on behalf of her children - Ben, Pema and Annabel, who were with her - Redgrave's publicist Rick Miramontez, confirmed to The Associated Press that Redgrave died peacefully at her home in Connecticut. Launching upon the scene in the early '60s, at the same time her elder (and more flamboyant) sister Vanessa Redgrave made a splash, Lynn Redgrave earned an Oscar nomination for her turn as a gawky Bridget Jones prototype in 1966's Georgy Girl. She received another nomination for her supporting role as the stunned housekeeper in 1998's Gods and Monsters. Redgrave, born in London to thespians Rachel Kemspon and Michael Redgrave, made her stage debut in 1962 at the Royal Court Theatre in London. Her movie fame brought her across the Atlantic, and she played on stage and on TV in both Hollywood and New York. She was also the first o

Carter's death was confirmed Saturday by publicist Steve Rohn, who represents Carter and her husband, Oscar-nominated actor Hal Holbrook.
"The Insider" breaks the sad news that John Forsythe, who starred on "Dynasty" and lent his voice to "Charlie's Angels," has passed away. He was 92. Forsythe died of complications from pneumonia in Santa Ynez, Calif. on Thursday. "…He died as he lived his life... with dignity and grace, after a year-long struggle with cancer," his family tells "The Insider." The family says there will be no public service for the late star, and they request that those wishing to honor his memory make donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Forsythe won two Golden Globes portraying patriarch Blake Carrington on "Dynasty." He also voiced the mysterious Charles Townsend (who memorably made his presence felt via speaker phone) on "Charlie's Angels." In addition to the numerous acting credits he amassed over his career -- which spanned over six decades -- Forsythe was a spokesperson and sponsor of the World Wildlife Fund.
Remembering The King Of Pop

It's not very often I write the news here at PalZoo, but today I am overcome with emotion upon hearing the news of Michael Jackson and felt it was fitting to be the one to write this news item.Michael Jackson was 50 years old, and although some may think he led a "charmed" life - I felt nothing but sadness that he had yet to live his life.I grew up on Michael Jackson's music. I remember winning his first album as a prize in a contest when I was very young. I played that album repeatedly and danced up a storm in my bedroom.I remember sitting in my living room the night he first showed the world the Moonwalk and realized I had just witnessed one of the most incredible performances in history. The next day at school that was all everyone was talking about, the way he moved, the way he floated across the stage. The beginning of the video era on Much Music and MTV saw Michael Jackson's career take off to unimaginable heights. I never tired of watching his videos, no one could move like him

Want to keep up to date on your favorite celebrities? Then Twitter might be the place for you. In the last few months Twitter has become a massive "gathering spot" on the web for celebrities. Unlike MySpace or Facebook, you actually get to know some of your favorites by keeping up to date with personal micro blogs. Some celebs post daily, others every week. Some join and never post. Either way some of these celebs are fun to follow and listen to, even if they don't follow you. Most celebs on Twitter don't follow many. They tend to follow select few that are usually in the entertainment biz or famous like themselves. It's rare, but there are some, that follow many regular Twitter members. MC Hammer is one who follows thousands of regular Twitter members, along with Pearl Jam. But celebs do reply to lots of their fans. Those that do tend to find themselves with plenty of followers. So here's a list of Twitter Celebrities you might want to follow. I follow quite a few of these, bu
