Meteorologist Kristen Cornett grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, She was born in July 5th, 1974, She fascinated Severe Weather at an early age and she fascinated earthquakes and volcanoes, Her parents drag her inside in the front porch during the storms and she done some tornado chasing and she was involved in a hurricane. She attended the University Of Kentucky and to be a doctor and she transferred her Broadcast Meteorology and earned her degree of GeoScience of emphasis in Meteorology from Mississippi State University, From there she started forecasting for Local Television, She joined WCBI-TV in Columbus, MS back in 1996 and was a weekend weather anchor, Then in 1997, She joined WAAY-TV in Huntsville, AL back in 1997, She also joined WHAS-TV in Louisville, KY back in July 2001, and she joined the (NBC affiliate) WLWT in Cincinnati, OH in 2004, Most Recently, She became a staff meteorologist at NBC Weather Plus in 2006, Where she appeared on MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Nightly News, Early Today and The Today Show. In 2007, She joined KMOV in St. Louis, MO, She joined the 4 Warn Storm Team in October 2007 and provides the weather for News 4 on Weekends and provides Go Green reports for tuesdays and fridays for the 6 pm newscast, also during the week, you may catch her filling for Matt on Awake with News 4 or live in the field and reporting a medical story or helping out during Storm Mode Coverage tracking the storms in the studio, and in 1999, She earned the Seal Of Apporval from The American Meteorological Society and also a member of the National Weather Association
