Fantasia Barrino, the American Idol season 3 winner, was hospitalized yesterday in Charlotte, N.C., after overdosing on a sleep aid and aspirin. Her manager, Brian Dickens said she was dehydrated and exhausted and that her injuries are not life threatening. Dickens confirms that Barrino is now in stable condition and will be released from the hospital soon.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department classified the incident as a suicide attempt. They report that Barrino was found with "possible internal injuries."
